About the Journal

The Paktia University International Journal of Social Sciences (PUIJSS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by Paktia University, Afghanistan. It is dedicated to promoting high-quality research and scholarly dialogue across a broad range of Social Sciences.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, and theoretical studies in fields such as Islamic Studies, Economics, Law and Political Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, History, Geography, Psychology, and Education. It further incorporates language and literature studies in Pashto, Dari, Arabic, and English as offered across the Faculty of Education and other relevant academic units of Paktia University.

PUIJSS emphasizes methodological rigor, academic originality, and ethical integrity. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure scholarly quality and credibility.

The journal is published quarterly (four issues per year) and provides open access to all its content, supporting the global dissemination of knowledge and enhancing the visibility and academic impact of research, particularly in developing contexts.
